How Vie came to be...
While pregnant with her first child, Owner Melissa Lynne noticed that there were no specialized boutique maternity stores carrying fashionable clothing in the quality that she was used to.  With over 14 years in the fashion industry Melissa didn't want to trade in her jeans for "maternity clothing", neither did she want to sacrifice her personal style for unflattering oversized clothing. Shopping on the web was out of the question because of all the questions she had about her ever changing body. What was a girl to do?

February 7 2006, Hiro Wilson Obayashi was born and after a couple of days rest, Melissa worked day and night between feedings, naps and playtime researching the world over to put together a collection of beautiful, stylish, sexy, fashionable, and professional clothing that women would want to wear.

May 2nd, 2007, Vie Maternity and Children's boutique opened in Yaletown, Vancouver.

Today, Melissa is dedicated to letting women know that there is no longer any need to sacrifice your personal style while you're pregnant. Vancouver Maternity clothing, has a new and fresh look.
